UPSA lecturers donate copies of Prof. Okoe Amartey’s autobiography to two schools in Accra

Two faculty members of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Zillah Boye-Doe and Sangmorkuor Tetteh, have donated copies of All’s Well (Feehi): Living a Life Guided by Grace and Goodness, the autobiography of former UPSA Vice-Chancellor Prof. Abednego Okoe Amartey, to two schools in Accra.

The donation, valued at over GHS5,000, aims to inspire students with the life and leadership journey of Prof. Amartey.

It also forms part of their commitment to promoting a culture of reading and mentorship, particularly among female students, while encouraging them to pursue excellence in their academic and professional endeavours in the future.

The La Nkwantanang Basic 7 & 8 Schools, an adopted basic school of UPSA, received 15 copies, while La Presby Senior High School received 10 copies.

Prof. Amartey was personally present when the two faculty members presented the books to the schools at separate ceremonies on Thursday, February 13.

Addressing the students, Prof. Amartey underscored the importance of resilience, discipline, and academic excellence.

He encouraged them to draw valuable lessons from his experiences documented in the book, which chronicles his journey from humble beginnings to the highest levels of academic leadership.

The autobiography captures the inspiring life story of Prof. Amartey and the principles that guided him in his pursuit of education and leadership.

Headmistress of La Presby SHS, Dorinda Ayokor Tetteh, expressed appreciation to UPSA for its continued support, stating that such contributions help shape young minds and motivate students toward both academic and personal growth.

Zillah Boye-Doe is a lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies, and Sangmorkuor Tetteh is a lecturer in the Faculty of Management Studies.
