Programme Objectives:
The PhD Marketing Programme exhibits a strong linkage between theory and practice. It offers students an interdisciplinary environment that enables the review and discovery of creative marketing ideas along with the development of analytical skills for the effective and efficient resolution of complex marketing problems both at the local and international landscapes.
The programme also aims at developing critical thinking skills necessary for the acquisition of relevant knowledge needed in designing, execution and presentation of original research in the field of marketing as well as appreciate research ethical challenges confronting the academy.
Target audience:
Marketing Managers and Officers in Corporate Institutions, Administrators’ Advocacy Personnel, NGO Managers and Officials, Teaching Staff in Tertiary Institutions, Media Personnel and Entrepreneurs.
Duration: Four Years
Entry Requirements:
Prospective applicants are required to have any of the following qualifications from an institution accredited by Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC):
• A Master’s degree by research or coursework in Marketing with a minimum CGPA of 3.0.
• A Master’s degree by research or course work in other business related disciplines with a minimum CGPA of 3.0.
• A Master’s degree by research or coursework in a non-business discipline with a minimum CGPA of 3.0, in addition to a professional qualification in Marketing, will be considered for admission on a case-by-case basis.
Important Note:
• Applicants with degrees from foreign universities are required to have their academic certificates evaluated by Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) prior to their offer of admission.
