Kwadzodeh, who is currently receiving tuition for the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification at UPSA, will serve as Secretary-General from 2026 to 2029. His election places him at the forefront of continental student representation, youth advocacy, and education policy engagement.
A long-standing student activist, Divine previously served as General Secretary of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) from 2019 to 2021. He currently serves as a Policy Advisor for Education Policy and Advocacy at AASU. “A proud moment for UPSA and for Ghana”
Commenting on the news, the Vice-Chancellor of UPSA, Professor John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor described Kwadzodeh’s election as “a remarkable milestone and a testament to the leadership culture nurtured at UPSA.”
“Divine’s election is an outstanding achievement not only for him as an individual, but also for Ghana and the entire UPSA community,” the Vice-Chancellor said. “His journey reflects our University’s commitment to grooming responsible, globally minded leaders who apply their knowledge, values and skills to the advancement of society. We are proud of him and confident that he will bring vision, integrity and service to this important continental role.”
The University extends its warmest congratulations to Divine Edem Kwadzodeh and wishes him a successful tenure as Secretary-General of AASU.
