The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) marked Chocolate Day on Saturday, February 14, with a warm, campus-wide moment of cheer as the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, stepped into classrooms to share chocolates with students.
Moving from one lecture to the other, the Vice-Chancellor’s visit brought a festive lift to the day, turning an ordinary academic schedule into a small celebration of community and care.

Beyond the sweet treats, Prof. Mawutor used the occasion to encourage students to stay grounded in strong personal values, reminding them that discipline, integrity, and respect remain essential companions to academic success.
He also made a patriotic appeal, urging students to support Made-in-Ghana products, emphasising that everyday purchasing choices can strengthen local enterprise, spur innovation, and help drive national development.

With chocolates in hand and a timely message on character and country, the Chocolate Day interaction blended light-hearted celebration with purpose—leaving students energised, appreciated, and proud to celebrate Ghana’s cocoa legacy the UPSA way.
