A total of 113 personnel from Enterprise Life Assurance Limited have undergone a five-day capacity-building programme at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
The training workshop, dubbed ‘Enterprise Back to School Experience,’ aimed to enhance the leadership capabilities of participants.
Areas covered included business leadership, data analytics, artificial intelligence as well as aided and global insight of life insurance.
Speaking at a brief closing ceremony, the Pro Vice Chancellor of UPSA, Professor John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, welcomed the partnership between the UPSA School of Graduate Studies and Enterprise Life Assurance.
He noted that the collaboration forms part of efforts by the University to deepen its relationship with industry players while offering a platform for shared knowledge.
Managing Director of Enterprise Life, Jacqueline Benyi, commended the Management of UPSA for its commitment to churning out professionals and graduates who are making great strides on the global front.
She said the partnership between the two institutions will help sharpen the knowledge and skills of her staff.
Dean of the School of Graduate Studies, Prof Samuel Antwi, advised the participants to apply the knowledge acquired to maximize productivity at their respective workstations.
He expressed gratitude to participants and facilitators for making the training a success, stressing that “the training workshop has come to stay.”
Various participants shared their experiences, emphasizing their satisfaction at the end of the training.
“The training was very relevant and engaging,” said Portia Mintah, a Unit Head and participant.
“This will help me in my daily duties at work. As a leader, I have also learned things that will help me address work conflicts. The lecturers were professional and engaging,” she said.
