The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), will hold a Special Congregation on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, to confer Honorary Doctorate degrees on two distinguished persons. The awardees are, Nana Opoku-Ampomah, Founder and First Director of the Institute of Professional Studies, now University of Professional Studies, Accra.
Nana Opoku-Ampomah is an Educationist, Businessman, and Paramount Chief of Amoafo-Bekwai in Ashanti Region of Ghana.
UPSA will also award Mr. Ahmad Ahmad, President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and FIFA Vice-President, in recognition of his remarkable public service and outstanding contribution to the development of African Football.
The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will be the Special Guest of Honour. His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, who is also an alumnus of UPSA, will be in attendance.
All invited guests are expected to be seated by 8:30 a.m. The general public is cordially invited.
