Students from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) are undertaking a semester-long academic exchange at Volda University College in Norway under the Erasmus+ Student Mobility Programme, as the University deepens its student mobility drive. The programme, which runs from 17 August to 22 December 2026, will enable the students to pursue academic studies in an international environment while gaining valuable exposure to Norway’s higher education system and culture.
Taking part in the Autumn 2026 mobility programme are Ametefe-Hli Lislotte Sedem Aku, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies student; Abotchie-Agbanu Dzifa Abla, a Master of Laws in International Business and Commercial Law student; and Sarpong Lucy, a student of the MA Media and Digital Communication Management programme.

During their stay at Volda University College, the students will participate in academic activities alongside students from diverse backgrounds, providing opportunities for cross-cultural learning, knowledge exchange and the development of international networks.
The Erasmus+ Student Mobility Programme is designed to promote academic exchange and intercultural understanding while exposing students to different approaches to teaching and learning. For the UPSA students, the experience will also provide an opportunity to broaden their academic perspectives and strengthen competencies relevant to their personal and professional development.
Their participation forms part of UPSA’s broader internationalisation agenda, which seeks to expand opportunities for students and faculty to benefit from meaningful academic partnerships and mobility programmes across the world.

Through initiatives such as Erasmus+, the University continues to create opportunities for students to gain international academic experience and develop the intercultural competencies required to operate effectively in an increasingly interconnected world.
The latest cohort builds on the growing academic partnership between UPSA and Volda University College and further demonstrates the University’s commitment to providing transformative learning experiences that extend beyond the traditional classroom.
