UPSA staff to undertake Human Resource Development training programme in China

  • Date May 25, 2023

Four staff members of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) have been selected to participate in a prestigious Human Resource Development training programme to be held in China.

The programme, scheduled to take place from June to July this year, will provide the UPSA staff with a three-week intensive training experience in their respective fields of work.

The fully-funded short course is sponsored by the Chinese government through its Embassy in Ghana and aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of the participants.

It also seeks to expose them to global best practices while providing opportunities for professional networking and cultural exchange.

The four beneficiaries who will embark on this enriching opportunity are Mr. Selasi Kwame Ocansey and Mr. Dickson Keddy Wornyo, both lecturers at UPSA, as well as Miss Pamela Naa Aku Pappoe and Mrs. Matilda Anagampoka Abazinge, who work as Chief Computer Technicians at UPSA.

UPSA management selected these individuals for the programme in recognition of their potential to contribute to the growth of the institution.

Messrs. Ocansey and Wornyo will partake in an intensive seminar on the “Internet of Things ” while Miss Pappoe and Mrs. Abazinge will engage in an “Information and Communication Development” seminar to be held at the Wuhan Research Institute of Posts and Telecommunications.

The UPSA management congratulated and encouraged the nominated staff members to make the most of the opportunity by expanding their knowledge to bring valuable insights to UPSA upon their return.
