The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has completed and officially handed over a mechanised borehole facility at the UPSA Nii Amon Kotei Students’ Hostel.
The project was formally handed over on Wednesday, 25 March 2026, in a significant intervention aimed at enhancing student welfare and improving residential life on campus.
The project, undertaken by the current SRC administration, is expected to provide a more reliable and sustainable water supply for students residing in the hostel, thereby supporting better living conditions and a more conducive environment for academic work.

At a brief handover ceremony, the SRC formally presented the facility to the University’s School Management and Hostel Management, underscoring the importance of collaboration in ensuring the proper maintenance and long-term sustainability of the project.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Dean of Students, Prof. Philomena Dadzie, commended the SRC for what she described as a thoughtful and impactful intervention that responds directly to the welfare needs of students.
