UPSA Law School celebrates LLB Class of 2020

The UPSA Law School has held a cocktail party in honour of its 2020 graduating class. The event, which is the first of its kind, was dubbed “Dean’s Cocktail Party in honour of LLB Class of 2020” and came off on Saturday 19th September 2020 at the Quadrangle of the University campus.

Present at the celebration were both faculty and recent graduates of the School.

The Dean of the UPSA Law School, Mr. Ernest Kofi Abotsi, congratulated the graduates for their successful completion of the Bachelor of Laws (LLB) program and admonished them to remain steadfast in their quest to become renowned legal practitioners and academics.

He also encouraged them to be hardworking and to be worthy ambassadors of their alma mater.

The Heads of Department of the School, Prof. Edmund Ato Kwaw and Dr. Francisca Kusi-Appiah also took turns to offer some words of advice to the graduates.

Certificates of achievement were presented to the graduates who had excelled in various subject areas. Miss Dorcas Bediako Anim emerged the Best Graduating Student for the 3-year LLB program and Miss Audrey Hannah Arthur was awarded the Best Graduating Student for the 4-year LLB program.

Outgoing executives of the Law Students’ Union (LSU), led by Mr. Thomas Quansah, immediate past President of the Union, presented citations to the Dean and lecturers of the School.

The graduates expressed their profound appreciation to the Dean and lecturers of the School for the excellent legal training and support they had received as students of the UPSA Law School.
