UPSA hosts 3rd Strategic Project Meeting on Next Level Skills for student Leaders (NELS) Initiative

The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) is hosting the 3rd Strategic Project Meeting of the Next Level Skills for Student Leaders (NELS) Project, reaffirming its commitment to advancing student leadership development and international academic collaboration.

The NELS Project, a global initiative implemented by a consortium of leading universities in Europe and Africa, under a European Union flagship framework, is designed to build the capacity of student leaders through enhanced leadership, digital, and intercultural competencies.

The consortium brings together distinguished institutions, including Applied Sciences Upper Austria (FH-OOE), University Duisburg Essen (Germany), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), KCA University (Kenya), University of Cape Coast (Ghana), All-Africa Students Union (AASU), Accra Metropolitan University (Accra Met), European Students Union (ESU), and Global Students Forum (GSF).

As part of the engagement, the Vice-Chancellor of UPSA, Prof. John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, formally welcomed the delegates to the University and expressed appreciation for their participation in the strategic meeting.

In his address, he highlighted UPSA’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and international collaboration. He further introduced the University’s strategic vision, ongoing development initiatives, and its dedication to nurturing student leadership and institutional partnerships across the globe.

Hosting the third strategic NELS meeting highlights UPSA’s growing role in fostering international cooperation and driving innovative projects that empower the next generation of student leaders.
