The event, held on Thursday, November 5, 2025, attracted several dignitaries from the University community, including the Vice-Chancellor, Professor John Kwaku Mensah Mawutor, who commended the students for their creativity, innovation, and commitment to promoting indigenous brands.

He lauded the initiative as a clear demonstration of UPSA’s practical approach to teaching and learning, noting that such exercises equip students with real-world skills relevant to the communications industry.

The Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Studies (FITCS), Professor Godfred Yaw Koi-Akrofi, also praised the students and lecturers for their professionalism and teamwork.

He highlighted that the campaign aligns with the faculty’s mission to nurture skilled communicators capable of driving national development through strategic communication.

For her part, the Head of the Department of Communication Studies, Professor Mrs. Adwoa Sikayena Amankwah, underscored the importance of experiential learning in communication education.

“This is the cornerstone of UPSA’s pedagogy, where we combine theory with practice to ensure our students graduate industry-ready,” she emphasised.

The semester-long project was supervised by the course lecturer, Josephine Eduonoo who guided the students through all stages of campaign development—from research and planning to strategy formulation, implementation, and evaluation.

“This exhibition served as both an academic exercise and a professional showcase,” Mrs Adjapong said. “It further reaffirms UPSA’s reputation as a leading institution that bridges the gap between classroom learning and industry practice.”
