The University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) has celebrated its Founder, Nana J. K. Opoku Ampomah, on the occasion of his 98th birthday, with a special delegation visiting him at his home on Friday, 28 August 2026.

The visit provided an opportunity for the University to honour and appreciate Nana Opoku Ampomah for his pioneering vision and enduring contribution to the establishment and growth of UPSA.
Leading the University’s delegation was the Registrar, Mrs. Lorraine Gyan, who joined other representatives to extend warm birthday wishes to the Founder on behalf of the University community.

The delegation also included Mr. Kwabena Agyekum, Chairman of the UPSA@60 Planning Committee and Registrar, Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana; Mr. Francis Dadzie, Global Alumni President, UPSA; and Mr. Ebenezer Aseidu, Director of Industrial Relations.

The University expressed its gratitude to Nana Opoku Ampomah for the foundation he laid, which has enabled UPSA to evolve into a leading institution for professional and business education in Ghana.
As Nana J. K. Opoku Ampomah marks 98 years, UPSA celebrates not only a remarkable milestone in his life but also the enduring legacy of a visionary whose contribution continues to shape the University’s identity and future.
