Three UPSA students embark on an exchange programme in Norway

Three outstanding students from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) have earned the opportunity to participate in the prestigious Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Programme.

Their selection stems from a collaborative agreement between UPSA and Volda University College in Norway, focusing on student and staff exchange initiatives.

The selected students are Nashira Nasara Muniru, Margaret Adwoa Darkoa Nyinaku, and Samuel Tetteh, all second-year Public Relations Management students.

They will further their studies at Volda University College in Norway for a minimum period of five months, commencing in January 2024.

“This international exchange presents a unique chance for the students to acquire valuable global experience, cultivate new skills, and laying a strong foundation for their future careers,” says Prof. Abigail Opoku Mensah, Director of the UPSA Centre for International Education and Collaboration (CIEC).

She congratulated the students on their achievements, urging them to be good ambassadors of UPSA as they represent the university abroad.

The Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility programme, sponsored by the European Commission, is an option in the European Erasmus programme and allows student and staff exchanges from countries outside the European Union to European universities with an Erasmus Charter.

The collaboration with Volda University College stands as one of many partnerships fostered by UPSA through the CIEC.
