Residential Facility User Fee | Second Semester 2020/2021 Academic Year

HOSTEL NOTICE

A. SECOND (2ND) SEMESTER OF THE 2020/2021 ACADEMIC YEAR HOSTEL AND PERIOD OF STAY FOR LECTURES

1. First Batch (Level 200 Degree & Diploma, and Level 300 Degree Students) Hostel Booking and period of stay for in-person lectures for the Second Semester.
Booking – Monday 19th to Wednesday 21st April, 2021.
Deadline for payment is Monday 26th April, 2021. The beds will be taken from those who cannot meet this deadline.

▪ The system will be opened again for other interested students (Still First Batch-Level 200 and 300) to also book on 28th April, 2021.

▪ Deadline for payment for the second opening for the first batch students, is 30th April, 2021.
▪ The opening time for each booking day is 10:00am.
Period of Stay – Sunday 2nd May to Saturday 12th June, 2021.
▪ Information on examination stay at the hostel will be issued later.

2. Second Batch (Level 100 Degree & Diploma, and Level 400 students) Hostel Booking and period of stay for in-person lectures for the second Semester.

Booking – Wednesday 5th May- Friday 7th May, 2021

Deadline for payment (Second Batch First Booking) is Wednesday 12th May, 2021. The beds will be taken from those who cannot meet this deadline.
▪ The system will be opened again for other interested students (Second Batch- Level 100 Degree & Diploma and Level 400) to also book on Thursday 13th May, 2021.

▪ Deadline for payment for the second opening for the second batch students, is Monday 17th May, 2021.

▪ The opening time on each booking day is 10:00am.
▪ Period of Stay – Sunday 13th June to Saturday 24th July, 2021.
▪ Information on examination stay at the hostel will be issued later.

 

B. PROCESSES TO REGISTER/LOGIN/APPLY FOR BED

– Registration and Login Process
1. The UPSA Hostel Application can be accessed at upsahostels.com
2. Click on Register for Hostel, if you do not already have an account.
3. Enter your username (which is your student ID) and an email address you have access to. Note: Password credentials and other correspondence will be sent to this email)
4. Click on the link sent to the mail you provided.
5. Enter a password of your choice. You’ll be redirected to the log in screen when the password is successful.

– Login
1. The UPSA Hostel Application can be accessed at upsahostels.com
2. Enter your username (i.e. your student ID and password which you created during registration).
3. Clicking the Sign in button, will send you to your student dashboard. Continue by following the steps to choose your bed.

– Reset Password
1. On the Log in screen, click on “I Forgot My Password
2. Enter your email in the text box provided. Note that the email should be the email you provided during your registration or your student email given by the school.
3. From the email, click on the link received which should redirect you to the hostel application asking for a reset of Password.
4. Enter a new password as you require.
5. Clicking on the button will send you to the Log in page for a login.

 

C. HOSTEL FEE FOR SEVEN (7) WEEKS | SECOND (2ND) SEMESTER – 2020/2021 ACADEMIC YEAR

The Hostel facility user fees and related charges for Second (2nd) semester 2020/2021 academic year are as follows:

FEES FOR 4-IN-1 OCCUPANCY ROOM
UPSA hostel facility user fee/student: GH₵750.00
Hall Dues:                                                  GH₵ 30.00
UPSA hostel initial electricity credit:     GH₵ 20.00
TOTAL                                                       GH₵ 800.00

FEE FOR 2-IN-1 OCCUPANCY ROOM
UPSA hostel facility user fee/student: GH₵1,500.00
Hall dues:                                                   GH₵ 30.00
UPSA hostel initial electricity credit:     GH₵ 40.00
TOTAL                                                       GH₵1,570.00
