DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY IN INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES

WITH CONCENTRATION IN:

– Educational Studies.

– Ethical and Creative Leadership, and

– Public Policy and Social Change.

The Doctor of Philosophy in Interdisciplinary Studies is a collaboration between the University of Professional Studies, Accra and the Union Institute and University, USA.

The three (3) year programme is aimed at providing prospective candidates with comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge as well as take an interdisciplinary and socially engaged approach to knowledge creation.
The programme is designed to provide flexible access to classes and also accommodate the work and family schedules of prospective candidates. The teaching format is a hybrid of virtual and in-person.

Target Audience:

Civil and Public Servants, Educationist, Administrators, Policy Research Officers, NGO Managers, Educational Institutions Managers and Advocacy Officers.

Duration: Three (3) Years

Entry Requirements:

Applicants with a Master’s degree from any university accredited by Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) in a field relevant to the preferred chosen concentration with a CGPA of 3.0.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

• Applicants with degrees from foreign universities are required to have their academic qualifications evaluated by GTEC prior to their offer of admission.

• Applicants must pass a selection interview which will be conducted at the discretion of the admission panel.
