Mr. Timothy Azaa Ayamga is a chartered accountant and a lecturer at the Department of Accounting, University of Professional Studies, Accra, (UPSA) and has over 16 years working experience as a Principal Accountant in the public sector and financial consultancy in Insurance, Petroleum downstream sector and auditing.Mr.Ayamga before joining UPSA worked as a principal Accountant with the National Vocational Training Institute. He has also been the head of Finance at Khols and Hols insurance Brokers since 2016 and consultant to a number of Vivo Ghana retailers on tax, working Capital management and audit. He is an auditor affiliated to MBA Consults, Samben and Associates and Awuah, Kwaning and Associates.
Mr. Ayamga is currently a PhD Candidate in Business Administration with the Open University of Malaysia, AIT and teaches Accounting courses.He has a number of articles and his research areas include, Sustainability reporting, Management Accounting, Taxation, Financial Reporting and performance, IFRS disclosures and compliance.
As his contribution to community development Mr. Ayamga teaches in other private and public universities as an adjunct in Accounting Courses and engages students in his private practice to give them an industrial/professional experience in Accounting, auditing and Taxation .He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana, ICAG.
