Theophilus’ principal teaching and research interests are in Taxation Law and Financial Law. He teaches on the UPSA Law School’s undergraduate law programme: Law of Taxation, Equity and Succession and Insurance Law as well as Legal Aspects of Business, and Business Law and Tax at the UPSA Graduate School. Theophilus originally trained as an auditor with Ernst & Young Ghana where he was involved in providing audit and assurance services to Airtel Ghana and Airtel Sierra Leone, GHACEM, Man Ghana, Save the Children (Liberia) and Moolmans.

He is a founder/ partner at WTS Nobisfields, a leading law and tax practice in Ghana (member of WTS Global). He has provided legal and tax services to several multinational and local companies doing business in Ghana. He has vast experience in the provision of services to many clients in financial services, energy, mining & utilities, consumer and industrial products and telecommunications sectors. His practical experience in the field of tax law and auditing enriches his perspective on the law and truly promotes his work and scholarly research in the area of tax law.
