Hon. Sylvester Adinam Mensah is a former MP and a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Business Administration, UPSA. His lecturing experience began in 2003 in the United Kingdom and later as a lecturer at UPSA in 2005.

He is a finance professional and a strategic management expert. Sylvester is a fellow of the Institute of Business consulting – FIBC, UK and holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Leicester in the UK.

He is a product of the University of Ghana Business School and holds a Diploma in Global Health Leadership from the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics and the University of California – Berkeley.

Hon. Sylvester also undertook a number of competency courses in the following institutions: The Royal Tropical Institute, Amsterdam; the World Bank Institute in Washington, USA; and the Harvard School of Public Health in Boston, USA.

With over 30 years of varied work experience in both public and private sector, Hon. Sylvester Mensah is a former Banker, former Social Worker, a former Hon MP, a former Presidential Staffer and a front-line political actor.

He is a Health Insurance Technocrat and consults on Health Financing, Financial Risk Protection against Healthcare Delivery, among others. He has served on a number of private and public boards and continues to serve on others.

He has been involved in strategy and policy formulation and implementation at the highest level and made over 20 international presentations across over 12 countries in Africa, Europe, Asia and USA.

Hon. Mensah has lectured in the Central University Graduate School, Zenith University College and is currently a Senior Lecturer who teaches Graduate level courses at UPSA.
His special areas of academic instruction include Strategic Management and Global Business.
He is a member of the Governing Council of the Perez University College in Ghana.
