Prof. Samuel Antwi is the Pro-Vice-Chancellor in charge of Research, Innovation, and Knowledge Transfer at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Dean of the School of Graduate Studies at UPSA.

He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Accounting within the Faculty of Accounting and Finance, UPSA. Prof. Antwi teaches at both the graduate and doctoral levels, contributing to the training and supervision of postgraduate researchers.

He previously held several key leadership roles at Koforidua Technical University, where he served as Head of the Accountancy Department, Director of Research, and Dean of the School of Graduate Studies.

Prof. Antwi had his secondary education at Pope John Senior High School, Ghana. He holds a Bachelor’s degree and an MBA (Accounting Option) from the University of Ghana, Legon. He also earned a PhD in Management Science and Engineering from Jiangsu University, China. In addition, he is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

He began his academic career as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Ghana and later taught at All Nations University, Ghana. He has also worked with ProCredit Financial Services as a Loan Officer.

Prof. Antwi’s research interests span public sector finance, financial reporting, development finance, financial management, and performance auditing. He has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and continues to contribute to scholarship and policy discourse in these areas.
