Rester is an expert in Taxation and Chartered Accountant with over 16 years working experience in several industries prior to Joining the University. He holds MBA Accounting from University of Ghana, Bachelor of Commerce (Bcom) from University of Cape Coast, Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and HND Accountancy from Koforidua Technical University, Ghana. Currently, he is a PHD (Accounting) candidate at University of Ghana Business School and working assiduously to publish papers in Accounting and Taxation.

Rester is a professional Accountant and Professional Tax Practitioner and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG) Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana (CITG). He is a Senior Partner of Finance Ink Consults-Ghana, an assurance and advisory firm. He has rendered relevant and reliable professional services to several entities within Ghana and beyond.

Furthermore, he served on several boards and committees which include the University of Ghana Council, University of Ghana Residence Board, University of Ghana Business School Finance Committee and University of Ghana Business School Tender Entity Board. Currently, he serves on The Sanneh Institute governing board and ICAG Financial Reporting faculty committee. He is also the chairman of the Audit Committee of the National Blood Service of Ghana and UPSA Credit Union supervisory committee. He is a part-time Lecturer at University of Ghana Business School, as well as a professional educator in most of the Tuition Centres affiliated to the Institute of Chartered Accountant-Ghana.
