Ms. Philomina Acquah is a Lecturer in Accounting in the UPSA Faculty of Accounting and Finance. I had my first degree in accounting with minor in education.

Having a very high interest to be in the academia, I continued my education at the University of Ghana, Business School, where I obtained a second degree in MPhil Accounting. I am currently pursuing PhD in accounting at Legon. Ms. Acquah has over seven years’ teaching experience in both private and public universities. I entered the academia as a Teaching Assistant and was promoted to a Research Assistant.

However, I became a Lecturer after MPhil in Accounting. My research interest includes tax avoidance, earnings management, transfer pricing and research in behavioral accounting and finance. Actually, my first publication was in tax avoidance, earnings management and tax avoidance.

Notwithstanding, I am currently writing more articles in the area of behavioral accounting and finance. Interested students who wish to contact me can do so via this email: [email protected]
