Patrick Mahama is a Lecturer in Political Science, Political Communication and Business Communication with the Department of Communication Studies of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). He has in the past lectured Political Science in the Law Faculty (UPSA), Research Methods, Employee Relations and Introduction to Mass Communication for the diploma programme and the degree programme and some graduate courses on human rights and on development studies.

He studied for his Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree (B.A Hons) and Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degrees in Political Science with the University of Ghana and currently awaiting his PhD viva in Public Administration with the University of Ghana Business School. Patrick is a promising academic with an outstanding leadership quality, having been trained as a leadership coach with CoachNet International, USA, since 2009 and now serving as a leadership consultant to some Church and para-church organizations across the country.
Patrick has attended several leadership development conferences and programmes around the world that have enhanced his abilities and career development. His role on several committees in various capacities in UPSA is an indication and a reflection of his willingness to always serve and contribute his quota wherever he is, to organizational as well as human and community development.

Teaching Statement
The interactive teaching approach, which draws students into meaningful and critical contribution to the subject matter during teaching, is at the centre of my teaching philosophy.
