Dr. Mohammed Sadat is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies under the Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Studies, University of Professional Studies, Accra.

Prior to joining UPSA, he was a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Linguistics, University of Ghana. He was an adjunct lecturer at the  Language Centre, University of Ghana and Institute of Distance Program, University of Education, Winneba. He also served as a visiting scholar at the Centre for Advance Study of Languages (CASL), University of Maryland, USA. Dr. Sadat is currently the Coordinator of the Language Centre of UPSA.

He is  currently a member of the Academic Board as well as the Governing Council of UPSA. Dr. Sadat currently serves as the President of the University Teachers Association of Ghana UPSA Branch (UTAG-UPSA). Prior to his election as the President, Dr. Sadat served as the Vice President for one term and a Secretary for two terms . He has wealth of experience on unionism.

Dr Sadat holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Applied Linguistics (TESL), a Master of Philosophy in Linguistics, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Linguistics—all from the University of Ghana. His academic interests span language use in Communication, Applied Linguistics, and English language teaching. He brings to the Department a strong research background and a commitment to advancing knowledge in Communication and Linguistics studies.
