Dr. Mary Naana Essiaw is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Management Studies, UPSA, and the founder and Director of the Institute of Work, Employment and Society. She holds a PhD in Business Management from the University of Swansea, UK, a Master’s in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resource Management from the University of Ghana. Dr. Mrs. Mary Essiaw also has a Bachelor of Education degree, with specialisation in Psychology from the University of Cape Coast.

Prior to joining the University, Dr. Mary Naana Essiaw was teaching at the pre-tertiary level and had extensive experience working with children at the pre-tertiary level including children with special needs.

The range of courses taught by Dr. Essiaw are Business Management, Human Resource Management, International Human Resource Management, and Organisational Behaviour. Dr. Essiaw was the Head of Department of Business Administration and led the team to develop the MBA Corporate Governance programme.

Her research areas include teams, organisational dynamics and performance, workplace aggression and other psychological and situational factors that influence organisational behaviour. Dr. Mary Naana Essiaw is also an external thesis examiner for Nobel International Business School. She has published a number of papers in reputable journals.
