Mark Edem combines three broad disciplines in Economics, Finance and Accounting. He had a first class honours in Economics from KNUST, an M.Phil in Economics from the University of Ghana, Legon and a second M.Phil in Finance from the University of Ghana, Legon. Mark is also a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana. He has years of experience in teaching and research at the university level having previously been engaged at KNUST, University of Ghana, Legon, Wisconsin International University College and Zenith University College. Mark aspires to be a seasoned lecturer and researcher as well as a Public Policy Analyst.

Research Interest

Mark has published in reputable journals mainly in the area of development economics and finance. These include income inequality, finance and productivity, retirement and pensions. Mark is currently working on climate change and weather-related events and their implications for income inequality, fiscal policy and monetary policy.
