Lawrence is a Banking and Finance Professional and a Lecturer at the Department of Banking and Finance of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance. His teaching and research areas include Financial Risk Management and Insurance, Bank Management, Investment Management, Business Finance, Business Strategy and Corporate Governance.

Lawrence was appointed in 2018 to be part of the formation of UPSA Co-operatives Credit Union and served as the Vice-Chairperson until 2020. He was the Head of Finance and Administration for Standard Securities Limited (Investment Banking Firm) prior to his appointment as a Lecturer with the University. Between 2008 and 2011, Lawrence was a Senior Audit Assistant at M. Gyekye-Mensah & Co., a Chartered Accounting firm.

Lawrence is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) in Business Administration (Finance Major) at the University of Cape Coast (UCC). He holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Risk Management and Insurance from the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Ministry from the Trinity Theological Seminary, Professional Certificate in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM-UK) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
