Prof. Kofi Osei-Frimpong is an Associate Professor in Marketing at the University of Professional Studies, Accra within the Faculty of Management Studies. He holds a PhD in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK.
He’s a Pharmacist by profession and his research interests are focused within the services domain (particularly in healthcare services delivery) around the complementary concepts of value co-creation, customer engagement and interactions, customer experience, social media brand engagement, and online customer support.

His interest also lies in the trans-disciplinary understanding of value (creating, designing, pricing and innovating), which is embedded within the firm’s business models. Prior to joining UPSA, Kofi had taught modules on both the undergraduate and postgraduate (MBA, MRes/PhD) programmes including: Customer Service Management, Retail Marketing Management, Sales Management, Services Marketing, Marketing Management, Strategic Marketing, Marketing Research, Marketing Communications, Special Topics in Marketing, and Theory in Marketing Strategy. Kofi also tutored for two years at the University of Strathclyde Business School, Glasgow – UK. He’s published in reputable peer reviewed high impact international journals such as Journal of Business Research, Computers in Human Behavior, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Information Technology & People, Journal of Marketing Practice and Theory, International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management, etc.
Kofi has also presented competitive papers at reputable international Service Research and Marketing conferences in the UK, USA, Greece, China and Portugal.
