Kathryn is a young and vibrant lecturer who has been with the University of Professional Studies, Accra for close to five (5) years. She has a first degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, a second degree in Risk Management and Insurance and currently a PhD student. Kathryn has impacted a lot of lives in this community both as a mother and a counselor. Her practical way of making courses considered as difficult for students easy has drawn a lot of the students (past and present) to her.

Prior to Kathryn’s appointment into the University, she worked at Prudential Life Insurance Company where she was part of a team which researched into factors that accounted for low rate of policy inception in the company and made solid policy recommendations which have broadened the client base of the company. Kathryn has attended few conferences among which is the maiden edition of the Accounting and Finance conference and has served on many boards.

As a PhD student in Finance, Kathryn is passionate about seeing the area of Pensions in Africa develop. Other areas of interest are; the development of the informal sector, financial inclusion and risk managment and insurance as a means of breaking the poverty cycle. She has Two (2) papers published in high ranking peer review journals in the area of Agric insurance and Microinsurance. Kathryn is currently a member of the Centre for Global Finance (CGF) seminar group from SOAS University of London and Global Network for Advanced Management, Yale School of Management.
