
Dr. Joshua Ofoeda
Joshua Ofoeda is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Professional Studies, Accra, with a PhD in Information Systems from the University of Ghana and more than ten years of experience in teaching and scholarly research. He is an Information Systems researcher whose work centres on generating, articulating, safeguarding, and scaling technology-driven ideas into sustainable projects with measurable commercial value and developmental impact. His research bridges conceptual innovation and practical implementation, ensuring that ideas translate into viable systems and long-term socio-economic benefits.
He currently serves as the Head of the Information Technology Studies department of the University of Professional Studies, Accra. His research experiences cover digital platforms and ecosystems, fairness, and transparent AI, Information Systems Ethics and governance, and political Information Systems. Joshua’s doctoral dissertation on API Integration and Organisational Agility won the University of Ghana’s Vice Chancellor’s Award for the Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation in the Humanities in 2021. He also serves on editorial boards of reputable information systems journals to advance scholarly rigour, knowledge dissemination, and the development of information systems, especially in emerging economies.
