Dr. John MacCarthy holds a Doctorate of Business Administration (DBA) degree in Finance from the SMC University, Switzerland, and a lecturer at the Department of Accounting, University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), since November 1, 2016.

Before joining the University, he was awarded Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Banking & Finance from King University College, Ghana. John is a member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA), UK and Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana (CIT-GH).

Dr. MacCarthy has extensive experience in Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, and Corporate Finance in both industrial and business practice. He joined Zenith University College in September 2013 as a lecturer, where he taught Taxation, Advanced Taxation, Corporate Finance, Financial Reporting, and Auditing. He has authored and published several articles in peer-reviewed journals.
