Dr. Jennifer Ayamga is a Lecturer at the Department of Business Administration, UPSA. She holds PhD and MPhil degrees in Environmental Science from the Institute for Environment and Sanitation Studies (IESS), University of Ghana. Whilst pursuing the PhD programme, she was offered a scholarship and a research assistantship affiliation by the Deltas, Vulnerability and Climate Change: Migration and Adaptation (DECCMA) project, where she gained extensive knowledge, skills and experience in complex systems modelling. In addition, under the Queen Elizabeth Scholars (QES) programme, she successfully obtained academic credits in environmental-related graduate courses at the University of Alberta, Canada.

Her research experience and interests are in the areas of climate change, land use/cover dynamics, environmental management, modeling and sustainable development. She was a research assistant to the Institute of Environment and Sanitation Studies (IESS), UG, team that compiled the report on the ‘2018 State of the Environment of Ghana’.
Dr. Ayamga has co-authored peer reviewed publications including: ‘The Volta Delta, Ghana, Challenges in an African Setting’ and; ‘Relating Land use and Land cover to surface water quality in the Densu River basin, Ghana’. Dr. Ayamga teaches courses such as Introduction to Environmental Management, Environmental Management, and Entrepreneurship Development, among others.
