Ivy Jones-Mensah is a Lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies at the University of Professional Studies, Accra. She is a researcher and a professional teacher. She has over twenty years teaching experience and has taught at all levels of the Ghanaian educational system. Her teaching and research interests are in teaching: English as a second language, reading, academic and technical writing. Ivy has a number of publications to her credit, and her recent publications have appeared in top-tier linguistic, English and Social Educator Journals.

Ivy serves as an Assistant Editor for the University of Professional Studies’ Journal and an editor for some publishing houses in Ghana. She has written books on English vocabulary, communication skills and management communication for tertiary schools. Ivy is a member of some research groups in some universities abroad. Notable among them include Collaborative Institution Training Initiative in Grand Valley State University, US and Ghanaian universities, Linguistic Associating, and the University of Education Research Team.

Ivy has a flare for English language and communication curricular analysis.
