Isaac Asampana is a self-motivated and result-oriented academic who has a considerable experience as a teacher, a researcher and an industrial practitioner in Computer Science, Information Systems, IT Project Management, Data Management and Public Procurement. Isaac holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Science, Master of Science degree, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management Information Systems and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Physics.

He was a member of the project team that successfully designed and implemented the Public Procurement Authority’s online procurement planning systems as well as the procurement performance model of excellence (PPME) system for evaluating the performance and compliance of public entities on the procurement law. He had trained and assessed several Ghanaian public procurement practitioners in Act 663.

Currently, Isaac is a lecturer at the Department of Information Technology Studies of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).

Teaching Statement

Isaac believes that to achieve effective teaching and learning, there should be a good working relationship between faculty and students. Students should be motivated to appreciate the value of what is being taught in class and how they could apply these principles to solve real-life problems. He also believes that students should be encouraged to learn to embrace the option of working in teams.
