Dr. Akwetey Henry Matey is a Lecturer in the Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Studies at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Ghana.

He holds a PhD with a focus on cybersecurity in power generation and an MPhil in Information Technology, both from the Open University, Malaysia (OUM).

His research interests include electronic payment systems, electronic funds transfer, service delivery, IT project management, and cybersecurity in the context of smart grids. He is a member of the Association of Computer Professionals (ACP), U.K., and a Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA).
