Gifty Anani is a professional teacher of English Language. She began her teaching career after her formal training at OLA Training College, Cape Coast, where she obtained a Teachers’ Certificate A (3-year Post-Secondary) in 1995. She then joined Ghana Education Service and rose to the rank of Assistant Director II of Education. She holds MPhil TESL, Master of Arts Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) from the University of Ghana, Legon and a Bachelor of Education Degree in the English Language from the University of Education, Winneba. Currently, she is studying for her PhD degree in English language education in one of the public universities in Ghana.

She has acquired tremendous experience and expertise in teaching English Language through her teaching at all levels, from primary school to the tertiary level. Also, she has served on various research committees, both inside and outside her former workplace and participated in several workshops and conferences, both as a participant and a facilitator.

To add to the above, she has been an assistant examiner for various institutions, such as WAEC, Institute of Education (University of Cape Coast), and the University of Education, Winneba.

Finally, she has been a tutor on the distance education programmes of the University of Ghana, University of Education, Winneba, and Jackson College of Education (a private college of education.) She loves to read and write at her leisure time and her research interest is in the teaching of English as a second language.

________________________________________ Gifty Edna Anani is Lecturer in the Department of Communication Studies, University of Professional Studies, Accra. She teaches courses in English Language and Communication studies at the diploma and degree levels.

She is an enthusiastic and experienced teacher with a strong background in the English Language. Her experience in English Language teaching enables her adopt a unique approach suitable for all ages and levels. She conducts her class with the utmost professionalism and also commits herself fully to every class, encouraging an interactive atmosphere for her students.
