Gifty E. Ketemepi is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Marketing (Faculty of Management) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra-Ghana. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Higher Education, at the Department of Curriculum Studies (Faculty of Education), Stellenbosch University in South Africa focusing on quality assurance systems and its implication for e-learning in the Ghanaian higher education. She obtained a Master’s degree with specialisation in Total Quality Management from the University of Professional Studies, Accra-Ghana.
Gifty prior to joining academia worked in the administration division of University of Professional Studies, Accra (2008-2015) in the positions of Administrative Assistant and Senior administrative Assistant. During this period, she served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant (2014-2015) after taking courses in adult teaching and learning in higher education and internship. Gifty joined academia in 2016 and also served as a Coordinator for International Students at the Center for International Education and Collaboration (2016-2018).
As part of her community engagement, Gifty serves as the Director for Policy and Programmes at the Ghana Quality Organisation a non-profit organisation at her spare time. Her areas of interest inter alia quality assurance, total quality management, e-learning and higher education. She has co-authored journal articles in accountability and transparency in the Ghanaian oil and gas sector as well as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in the oil market in Ghana.
