Dr. Gamel Mathew Abotiyane Aganah is a Lecturer at the Department of Business Administration, UPSA. He holds a PhD in Advanced Policy Studies from the National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, Tokyo. He also holds Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degrees in Peace & Conflict Transformation and Development Geography from the Universities of Tromsø and Oslo respectively.

Prior to joining the University of Professional Studies, Dr. Aganah worked with the National Peace Council as a Senior Programmes Manager, where among other achievements he designed and facilitated the Council's intervention that led to the revival of the Bawku Inter-ethnic Peace Committee and the Bawku Peace Process. Dr. Aganah is a peace and security expert.

His research interest spans the effects of government policies on the dynamics of ethno-political conflicts, state-society collaboration in peace building, and the relationship between peace, conflict and health in the West African sub-region. He teaches courses such as Business Leadership and Ethics, Entrepreneurship Development, and Principles of Leadership, among others.
