An innovative and knowledgeable professional having a substantial level of experience as a lecturer. Mr. Tee is a well-inspired actuarial and financial risk management graduate with a career goal of assuming a role which allows taking responsibility for the analysis and interpretation of financial data for a growing or market-leading institution and to contribute knowledge through academic research and reports. Before he joined UPSA as a lecturer in 2019, he had worked as a lecturer in a private university from 2016-2019. His bi-cultural background and focus on community development has led him to a number of volunteer opportunities and community leadership roles. Mr. Tee received his Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science at UDS and a Master of Philosophy in Business Administration (Risk Management and Insurance) at University of Ghana.
His aim in teaching is about the promotion of learning of the subject matter as well as challenging his students to think logically and solve problems. It is his business to try to understand the students’ point of view however “flawed” before attempting to introduce them to his own. All students in his class are treated equally, irrespective of age, gender, nationality, academic ability or level of intelligence.
Mr. Tee thinks independently but with team building dynamics. He has the urge and competencies to generate research themes and conduct academic research. His research interests are in quantitative research methods, risk management, asset-liability modelling, insurance and financial markets.
