Erika Mamley Osae is a Research Fellow at the Research and Consultancy Centre and attached to the Department of Business Administration, UPSA. Erika has over twenty-three years’ experience in development practice, working in partnership with both local and international organisations to engage with civil society actors, local actors and the private sector. Erika holds a Master of Arts degree in Public Policy and Administration and an Executive Masters with an Advanced Certificate in Leadership and NGO Management from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs, Syracuse University in New York, USA. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Development Studies from the Institute of Social Studies of Erasmus University, The Hague, The Netherlands and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Resource Development with Philosophy from the University of Ghana, Legon, Accra. Erika is a certified Organization and Systems Development practitioner. Currently, she is a PhD candidate at the School for Development Studies, University of Cape Coast.

Erika has rich experience in governance processes emphasizing accountability, empowerment and leadership, monitoring and evaluation processes with emphasis on continuous learning, and research to adapt to new trends. Organizational systems development and change management processes, training and capacity building, gender development and local governance are all part of her rich experience. Prior to joining the UPSA, she worked with international and multilateral institutions and organizations. Erika has consulted for government, local and international NGOs and the private sector. At UPSA, she lectures environmental management, corporate governance and related courses. Her research focus is urbanization with a focus on slums/informality and inner-city development, organization and systems development (leadership and human resource management) and gender and governance (NGO and corporate). Erika has some publications, published chapters in books and periodicals to her credit.
