Dr Emmanuel Owiredu Akonnor is a Lecturer at the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Professional Studies, Accra. He is a PhD (Public Administration and Policy Management) holder from the University of Ghana, Legon. He also has a Masters’ degree in Business Administration (Marketing option) as well as a Master of Arts degree in Guidance & Counseling from University of Ghana and Methodist University College Ghana (MUCG) respectively.

Prior to joining UPSA, Dr Owiredu Akonnor lectured in Methodist University College Ghana for a considerable number of years. He was once a Head of Department (Marketing) at the said university between 2008 – 2010.

Some of the courses taught by Dr Owiredu Akonnor include Sales Management, Advanced Strategic Marketing Decisions, Consumer Behavior, Environmental Management and Strategic Management. At UPSA, he teaches Supply Chain Management, Global Dimensions of Business, Environmental Management and Public Administration, among others.

Dr Owiredu Akonnor has been a reputable counselor (both in academia and in the church) restoring hope to the affected. He is an emerging voice in the management of solid waste at the Junior High School level. He and his team organize fora for environmental concerns in selected schools in the Accra Metropolitan Area to inform/educate them on the need to preserve it (environment) for humanity’s judicious use.
