Eleanor is an academic and a versatile ICT trainer in network professional courses with multidisciplinary experience in both the private and public sector. With over 15-years’ experience as a Lecturer in various ICT related training and research work in Ghana, she is very passionate about connectivity and the use of the internet to optimize day-to-day activities in businesses. She has attended several training sessions, workshops and conferences in Ghana, USA, Germany, Denmark, India, Kenya, Senegal, Nigeria and Togo. Her previous working experiences as a project manager to the Ghana Highway Authority Wide Area Network (WAN) project, supervising the installation, deployment and providing support services as a consultant in the private sector are results of her vast professional training sessions. In addition, Eleanor has served as a team leader on the assessment of the Local Area Network (LAN) project as well as a team leader for the audit and recommendation committee for the Ministry of Finance (MOFEP).

Her professional experiences spans varied fields. She joined the online research community (AuthorAID for courses in Research in Communication & Social Science) and successfully completed the programme. She also served as an ex-com member for the Internet Society (ISOC), Ghana Chapter, where she was a team player in the voting exercise to elect the executive members (2018-2020) and a volunteer for the online Internet Governance Forum (IGF) 2020 team. Prior to the above, Eleanor was an associate consultant with an engagement in ECOWAS regional trade information systems, ECOWAS MIS project management trainer, system support and ICT trainer with Computer Information Technology Academy Foundation (a Ghana-Denmark Project with second cycle teachers and a collaborative programme with the Ghana Education Service). In addition, she provided support for some consultancy services in ICT related services and served on two professional bodies (IEEE Ghana chapter, as a treasurer and ISOC Ghana chapter, as the education chair and a member for Alliance for Affordable Internet). She also represented ISOC Ghana Chapter during the AFRINIC conference in Senegal.

In her current role as a Lecturer at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Eleanor teaches and supervises students’ project works and provides counselling services for students as well as serves as an assistant to the Information Service and Technology Directorate (ISTD). Her current research interests centre on telecommunication and emerging technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT), Ubiquitous Computing and Internet of Things (IoT) that relate to Mobile IoT networks, SMEs, Big Data and Intelligent systems.
