Dr. Edward Attah-Botchwey is an Asset Management Specialist and a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Banking and Finance, University of Professional Studies, Accra, (UPSA), with over twenty four years’ experience in industry and teaching & Research in tertiary institution, as well as administrative duties. Before joining the University of Professional Studies Accra, Dr Attah-Botchwey Was Adjunct lecturer in GIMPA, Wisconsin University College, Knutsford University, Presbyterian university College, Data Link Institute and Valley View University and he was a Research Fellow at the Institute of Local Gov’t Studies (ILGS).He worked as a Sales Executive with Goil Energy four (4) years then Ernst & Young for two years and Join BCM International as Project Accountant ,Intrinsic Resource Ltd The Operations Manager of OANDO Ghana Ltd etc. before becoming full time academic staff of the University of Professional Studies Accra. He is currently the Head, Department of Banking and Finance at UPSA and serves on many Statutory Committees.
 
Dr Attah-Botchwey holds a PhD in Finance from Open University of Malaysia, and teaches Financial Markets and institutions Etc. He has published over ten articles in peer-reviewed/ranked journals. His research areas include Public sector Finance Social security pensions, Electronic Banking, Mortgage Financing risk and insurance. He has also presented papers at both local and international conferences and seminars.

As his service to community, Dr Attah-Botchwey serves as external examiner to a number of local Universities. Dr Attah-Botchwey is an Associate Member of the African Institute of Mathematical Science and a member of the Actuarial society of Ghana.
