Dr Edward Asumadu is a Lecturer at the Department of Accounting, University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) with almost a decade of experience in teaching, research and administrative positions at the University. Before switching to academia Dr Asumadu worked with Pannell Kerr Forster (PKF), Accra, a veteran International Accounting and Business Advisory firm, where he trained as an Audit Assistant and later practiced as an Accountant and a Lecturer at the All Nations University, Koforidua.

Dr Asumadu holds a PhD in Accounting from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences (SHUATS), Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. He teaches accounting courses and mentor students to achieve their academic goals. He has published a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals. His area of interest in research include but not limited to financial reporting, audit & assurance and corporate governance and he has presented papers at both local and international academic conferences.

Dr Edward Asumadu, an affiliate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants-Ghana, has participated in several university events, educational boards & committees, attended to teaching and research issues both home abroad as well as assisting in curriculum revision and academic planning activities. He also maintains the interest in using his experience to mentor accounting professionals and other finance executives to get acquainted with the rudiments of proper book-keeping and accounts management skills, etc. through the conduct of workshops and seminars.
