Ms Caroline Aku Akpene Yegblemenawo, is a Ghanaian who holds a Master of Philosophy in French and a Bachelor of Arts in French from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi. She also holds a Diplôme Universitaire des Études Françaises (DUEF) from the University of Abomey-Calavi, Benin and is a professionally trained French Language teacher from the Wesley College of Education, Kumasi. She speaks French, English, Ewe, Dangme and Twi. She is currently pursuing a PhD in French at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.

Her key interest area is French Didactics. She specializes in the teaching of French as a Foreign Language, French for Specific Purposes and French for Professionals. She has done researches in the area of French for Professionals such as diplomats and International workers of some selected agencies of the United Nations as well as the use of digital resources in teaching French. She is currently pursuing her PhD research in the area of French for Specific Purposes, specifically, the use of French in the Tourism and Hospitality industry in Ghana.

She taught and supervised several researches related to the teaching and learning of the French Language as a foreign language at Mount Mary College of Education, Somanya. She also organised co-curricular activities to promote the speaking of French among students.
She is currently one of the patrons of the Gye Nyame Drama Club of UPSA.

Teaching Statement
-She teaches the French Language using the Computer Assisted Language Learning (CALL), Mobile Assisted Language Learning (MALL) and Technology Enhanced Language Learning (TELL) approaches which focus on the supportive and facilitative function of the technology and the role of digital media as tools for learning foreign languages. She believes in the use of task-based learning approach for language teaching.

Professional Experience
-As a professional trained teacher from the Wesley College of Education, she taught French at the various levels of the academic ladder. These include Ahwiaa Junior High School, Ahwiaa, (2005-2006) St Monica’s Senior High School, Asante-Mampong (2010- 2013), Mount Mary College of Education, Somanya (2013-2016) and now at the University of Professional Studies, Accra from 2016 to date. At Mount Mary College of Education, she trained French teachers for the Basic Schools in the country under a 3-year Diploma in Basic Education programme in French.
