Bright is an academic and a professional in Communication Studies. As an academic, his teaching areas include public relations and mass communication. His research interest is in public sector, public relations practice and media reportage of disasters and telecommunications. Bright has an extensive teaching experience in the first, second and third cycle educational institutions.
