Mr. Benjamin Baroson Angenu is a Lecturer in Integrated Marketing Communication, Strategic Marketing Planning, Sports Marketing, Elements of Marketing, Marketing Management at the University of Professional Studies,Accra and a Local Government Expert. He is currently the Coordinator for MBA Marketing at the marketing Department. Prior to joining faculty, he served as a Junior Assistant Registrar and Senior Administrative Assistant at the same Institution where he help in restructuring the Public Relations Department and part of a committee that goes round to supervise students on internship.

He is a native of Nungua, a suburb of Accra, the capital city of Ghana.
His expertise and interest are in communication thus how to harmonize the element of communication to have a consistent and coherent information for its intended customers/clients; issues relating to corporate social responsibilities in both private and public institutions and sharing ideas with practitioners in the areas of Local Government Infrastructure Financing, Local Government Human Resource Management and Planning, and in Local Economic Development. .

Even though Mr. Angenu has been an educationist for about twenty years, before joining the University he had a stint with Danbort Company Limited as a Markting Manager for about four years. Because of the enormous contribution to the development and growth of the organization, he was made the Deputy Managing Director of the Company from 2006 to 2008. .

Whilst in academia lecturing he caught the eye of the then President of the Republic of Ghana and was appointed the Municipal Chief Executive for the Adentan Municipal Assembly from June 2014 to January 2017 where he fast track the development of Adentan Municipality. .

As the Municipal Chief Executive he chair a number of statutory committees of the Assembly notable among them are; Security Committee, Statutory Planning Committee, Executive Committee, Educational Oversight Committee, Municipal Planning coordinating Unit, Municipal Tender Committee and other committees of which he was a member thus Audit Implementation Committee, Public Relations Complaints Committee etc. .

As a Lecturer, Mr. Angenu has not limited himself to only impacting knowledge in marketing related courses into his numerous students but take very keen interest in the welfare of students by offering them consistent counselling for them to be the pride of the University not only academically but morally as well. He does so by bringing together his academic and professional experiences to bear. .

Mr. Angenu has over the period demonstrated the possession of skills in analysis, evaluation of issues, initiative, and effective leadership. He has also proven to be an effective team player and has a very high level of self-motivation. .
