Mr. Baba Issah Ahamed is a Chartered Accountant and Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Accounting. He has over fourteen years industry working experience both in Ghana and Abroad (Denmark and UK) across different industries. In particular, he has worked in multicultural and multinational environments with regional and global reporting responsibilities, including Senior GL Accountant (European Entities consolidation) at Travel Port Int. Limited (Slough, UK) and Senior Accountant for Nordic entities at JDA Software Limited (Bracknell, UK). He also held finance assistant position with Capgemini AS, Denmark with responsibility for Nordic and Baltic entities.

Mr. Ahamed is the current lead lecturer for Principles of Accounting (I & II) as well as a lecturer of Corporate Reporting. He has also previously taught Corporate Governance at KNUST Takoradi Campus.

Mr. Ahamed holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Aalborg University, Denmark and BSc. Administration from University of Ghana Legon. He is also a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG).
