Dr. Agyabeng is a senior lecturer in the Department of Business Administration at the Faculty of Management Studies, UPSA. He holds a PhD in Public Administration and Policy Management, an

MPhil in Leadership, an MBA in Total Quality Management, and a BSc in Marketing. He has a Medicine Counter Assistant (MCA) certificate and a diploma in French (DELF A1 and DELF A2) from Alliance Française, as well as a qualification in Oil and Gas.

TAUGHT COURSES

He teaches both graduate and undergraduate courses at the University of Professional Studies, Accra

(UPSA). These include Human Resource Management, Negotiations and Conflict Resolution, Public Administration, Leadership, Management, Corporate Governance, and Business Ethics. He is a research Fellow at the Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, as part of my PhD scholarship.

 

ADMINISTRATIVE EXPERIENCE

He supervises students’ dissertations, long essays, and project work at PhD, MPhil, MBA, and undergraduate levels, along with serving as an examiner for PhD, graduate, undergraduate and diploma-level project work. He serves on many institutional committees, including the development of the Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Transportation Management, the reaccreditation of the Diploma in Management, and the development of the Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management. He also served as a session chair at the 10th edition of the International Conference on Business Management and Entrepreneurial Development in April 2025. He is a reviewer for some highly recognised scientific peer-reviewed publishers/journals, including Journal of Organisational Effectiveness: People and Performance –Emerald, Journal of Management of Environmental Quality

INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

He served in the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) for 20 years, in various capacities including Head of Department, artillery/Mortar, Senior Warrant Officer training, and Assistant Operations Officer. He participated in eight United Nations peacekeeping missions in countries including Lebanon, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Sudan, and Ivory Coast.  His areas of expertise include map reading, security intelligence and conflict management.
