Dr. James Ntiamoah Doku, is an academic scholar with strong specialisation in Applied Finance and Economics. He is a senior lecturer and currently the Research Officer at the Department of Banking and Finance, University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA). Prior to joining the UPSA, he taught at several private Universities in Ghana for over nine years in areas of finance, economics, quantitative analysis and research methods. A part of his community service, he serves as acting Chairman for Board of Directors for his Alma mater.

Dr. James Ntiamoah Doku holds a PhD in Finance from the University of Ghana, Legon, and teaches finance and research methods currently at the UPSA. He has published several articles in peer-reviewed/ranked journals and had won an award for outstanding achievement in one of such published articles for being amongst the top-most downloaded paper for the journal.

Dr. Doku also serves as a reviewer for some international journals. His main areas of interests in research and collaborations are Banking Sector Development, Industrial Organisation of Banking Firm, Capital Structure, Public Debt and Economic Growth, Institutional Quality and Growth, Firm Productivity, Efficiency and Institutional Quality, Institutions and Economic Growth.
